Crackpot Ceramics
by
Eva-Louise
The rich texture of a Marri tree growing in the John Forrest National Park was my initial inspiration for this vase.
I create textural homewares that blend artistry with nature. Each piece is meticulously designed and crafted to add a distinctive charm to your living spaces, making your home truly one-of-a-kind.
I believe that every piece of home decor should not only be visually appealing but also evoke a sense of touch and connection reminding us of the natural world in which we live.
About Eva
I am a ceramic artist who is passionate about the environment, nature and everything found within it. Every walk in nature inspires a new idea or feeling to be embodied into an artistic piece to be embraced.
Whether it is the bark of a Eucalypt tree or the red gravel glowing under the sunset along the Darling scarp, I strive to capture the textures and serene feeling of that experience so you can enjoy them in your home.

In cooperation with Podwave Studios and alongside other renown local artists showcasing their various talents and unique styles, I will take you on a virtual journey through the West Australian landscape. Passionate about Australian flora and the vast array of textures found within it, I love to capture the textures and contrasts so you can experience them first hand.
I am a qualified early childhood and primary educator who has explored many artistic disciplines and was drawn towards ceramics in my mid 40s as both a creative and social outlet for my emotional well-being and quickly gravitated towards exploring textures through the use of local clay slips and sodium silicate. I further expanded my skills by combining wheel thrown with hand building and slab building to create hybrids of ceramic modes. The most recent of these demonstrated in my work “Eucy”
My works of art are to be explored using the sense of touch to connect people to its inspiration.
